Here's the thing about this volume... it cleared some things up but in a confusing way. So I'm still confused but cleared up on things. Still love this series down though! Will we truly understand Aikawa's and Risu's magic??? Man I sure hope so.

Damn... this one just kept going! I really wanted to stay in this volume, it felt so essential to the full story that has been unfolding. WTF does Ai, Caiman, Aikawa, and The Boss have in common. My theories are sitting in my head ready to become true. Fingers crossed some of them are correct.

I LOVED this volume its intensity kept me on the edge of my seat, especially the ending fight! Once again it is quite visceral but so worth it. WTActualF is happening. Also, the cross-eyes undying loyalty to the boss is quite exasperating. I find myself trying to page through the manga faster.

Goodness I love how illusive this story is but we receive bits and bits of everyone's story. I'm literally rooting for every character except for En. For whatever reason he gets under my skin. Not in the "ewww gross" kind of a way but the "you must be so annoying at parties" kind of way. The fight scenes in this are really so good, can someone draw me in a fight like this! Watching Nikaido come to terms with her magic is honestly so magical yet a bit scary. I love it!

Kinda surprised I rated this one at a four. Don't get me wrong it was good but maybe not as bright as I normally like. It was a bit slower in driving the story but I fully believe Q wants us to knaw at the bit waiting for real answers.

Eight Billion Genies

This was hard to put down. I really enjoyed the concept that of everyone receiving a genie. The story really explored the intricacies of choice and the consequences of choice. The story is more plot driven but some of the characters had some solid depth. I didn't care much for the characters but enjoyed the story. There's a part in the comic that explains the start of the genies and though it was informative, I thought some of it was a bit much. Maybe even a bit unnecessary.

Love this volume a lot since it dives a bit deeper into the lore of characters. More specifically Nikaido but a few others come into play. We also get an idea into who or what is inhabiting Caimen. Spell 53 aka chapter 53 there's a taste of the devil realm and let me tell you it is VISCERAL. It was a bit much to stomach through but I love Q's work and her attention to detail.

Another volume with character lore! I'm loving it here. So this volume you get more on professor Kaskukabe's backstory, which is very interesting btw. I need more of it for sure. Also EBISU! We get a snippet into her backstory and I wish that Ebisu was treated better in the series. I'm also really curious why she ran away from home and why her parents did what they did. Side note I really want Caiman and Nikaido to kiss because I'm a sucker for love. Once again I love Q's brain.

Okayyyy so this one is a bit more cryptic and was harder for me to follow. Points of note: Fujita is always saving Ebisu despite being a complete ass towards her. Fujita is my LEAST favorite character and probably my only unlikeable character. Slight spoil: Curse did its big one on En.
